HELENS OREGON Court Proceeding r bond has been given and filed here in; It is therefore ordered by the court that the board of county road viewers meet at Rainier on the 15th day of May, 1913, or on their failure to meet on said day, then within five days thereafter, and proceed to view, survey and locate said proposed road. Matter of petition of J. R. Head- lee et al for a county road: On this 8th day of May, 1913, comes on for hearing the petition of J. R. Headlee et al. freeholders, residing in the road district or dis tricts of said proposed road, pray ing for the establishment of a county road described as follows: Commencing at station 73 on the Rainier-Apiary road, at a stake marked A, 59 rods south and 2 rods 14 feet east of the N. E. corner of Sec. 2. T. 6, N. R. 3. W; thence running westerly on best obtain able grade to stake B on the old road; thence along old road to stake C; thence down hill on the western slope to stake D, on the foot of Doan Hill in the old. road, on the best obtainable grade, for a width of 40 feet, and to vacate the old road so cut off between stakes A & B and C & D. And it satisfactsrily appearing to the court from proof fired herein, that due notice of the pendency of this proceeding has been given as by law required, that twelve of said petitioners are legal freeholders of this county, residing in the road district or districts of the proposed road, and that a good and sufficient bond has been given and filed here in; It is therefore ordered by the court that the board of county road viewers meet at beginning point of said proposed-road on the 16th day of May, 1913, or on their failure to meet on said day, then within five day thereafter, and proceed to view, survey and locate said pro posed road. Matter of deed for road from Geo. II. & Alma Lemont: On this day it appearing to the J duly executed deed, presented here in, that Geo. H. Lemont and Alma V. Lemont have conveyed to Colum bia county a certain strip of land in Section 4, 4, 1, for road purposes, it is ordered by the court that the board of county road viewers sur vey and locate said road according to said deed, and file their report, together with a plat of said road, with the clerk of this court. Matter of change in Mist-Gats-kanie road: On this day it is ordered by the court that the clerk be and he is Malmberg, $8,484, and George Corili, $57.93. being $1 per M. for all timber and 1 1-2 cent per foot for all poles and piling. Matter of petition of Columbia and Nehalem river railroad for rail road crossing. The Columbia & Nehalen Rivtr Railroad, a corporation, through its attorneys, Messrs. Veazie, McCourt & Veazie and Dillard & Day, having this day filed its petition praying for permsssion to cross the county road with its railroad track at a point described as follows: One hereby authorized and instructed to hundred ninety (190) feet south eighty-six degrees (86 deg) thirty minutes (30 min.) west from the section line running north and south between sections twenty-nine (29) and thirty (30) in T. 6, N. R. 5 west of the Willamette Meridian, and presented the same to the court for consideration thereof, and the court, having duly considered the same, said petition is hereby granted as filed, and said railroad company is hereby granteed the right to con- issue general fund warrants in pay ment for timber forfeited to the county on account of the change in the Mist-Clatskanie road, otherwise known and described as- the J. A. van roan, in accordance with the report of cruise or scale of same reported to the court' by W. E. Conyers, said warrants to be the parties and in the amounts as fallows, viz: Mrs. B. Schultz, $39.44; Frank struct said crossing across said ro.nl at said designated point, on the further condition that the grade of said crossing shall be made to con form with the grade of said caunty road as the same may hereafter be established, and shall file with the clerk of this court a true and cor rect plat showing the exact location of said crossing, as the same shull correspond with legal subdivisions of said land. Matter of bids for social road work in R. D. No. 12. i On this day certain bids for the performance of certain special road work in road district No. 12. being presented to the court, it is ordered by the court that the following named bids be and they are hereby accepted, and that contracts be entered into for the faithful per formance of the same: Frank I'.irkefifeld. 1500 feet, main river road, near riithhawk bridge, for 12U.".
