Irrigation and Willamette valley
climate form a combination that is
hard: to beat when it comes to produc
ing everbearing strawberries, in the
estimation of J. M. Christopher of Ma
rion, Mr. Christopher who was in this
morning to complete his filing upon
water for irrigation purposes upon his
tract, brought with him a box of the
luscious berries just to show what can
be done in the strawberry line with
the aid of , irrigation. Lack of sunshine
has robbed tho fruit of some of its
sweetness but in appearance the 'ber
ries are as rich as any appearing on the
local market in the normal strawberry
season.
