with the army of occupation in Ger
many,' during which time he has Qiad
an opportunity to ace a good deal of
German territory and learn consider
able about, the German people. This
part of his farcer was much more agree
able than life in French territory, but
ho was glad to be released from the
monotonv of camp life. In France he
was with the big guns in five major
actions besides several minor engage-,
ments, and has seen some of the pret
tiestartillery work of the war. Though
he has been through some of the hard
est battles of the war he was fortu
nate enough to tiring away his anatomy
intact. His service in France and Ger
many completes a military service of
eight years, as he has been in the reg
ular army and saw some action on the
Mexican border, .
