Federal Aid Delayed
Washington, July 1M. Federal ac
tion in .regard to forest fires raging in
Montana, Idaho and Washington is be
ing greatly hampered because of delay
in passage of agricultural bills, offi
cials of the forest bureau in the de
partment of agriculture declared today.
They asserted however, that many
men were being rushed from Hillings
and hrent Falls tu fight the fires on
the Montana border.
Reports to the bureau, officials said,
are thwt the ait nut ion is "ery seri
ous" and nut much changed.
Although several thousand men or
already actively engaged in combatting
the conflagration, official mi ill the on
ly hope seems tu be ruiu.
