It was "open night," the women being in vited! Thia made the gathering n pleas ing social function. The Willam ette university quartet were guests of the Brotherhood and sang several pleasing numbers which were heartily encored. Jliaa Genevieve 8cvy of the univrsity, another guest, delighted the audience with a reading mot effect ively rendered and graciously respond , ed with a humorous selection. Lieut, li. 11. Couipton was heard with great interest in a ahort address in which he spoke particularly of the work of the Y. M. C. A. in" France. The Brother hood has tho -promise of another address ut greater length from him on some fu ture occasion. Another returned sol dier, Mr. Attorbujy, gave a ehort talk.
