County Judge C. O. OUlette of Jose

At ft meeting of the members of the
IHaleni Orand Army of the Republic
I held Saturday afternoon, resolutions
were passed asking the officials of
the Odd Fellows cemetery to clean up
the cemetery and make it presentable,
(especially as special exercises will be

medical corps. Hence, when letters
have been addressed to Paul B. Wal

be a mix up. This morning the Salem
post office received a package of 15
lettirs, all intended for our Paul B.
Wallr.ce, but which had been sent to
the Paul H. Wallace at Rifle, Colorado
and then forwarded to Malem.

Associate Interstate Secretary New-
byer, of the Y. M. C. A., arrived in
the city yesterday and in company
with Secretary t'ompton of the lvl
association, went out to Turner, Stay
ton, Jefferson Marion aud other ru
ral centers with a view to interesting
the people in the plan of establishing
branches at the different points so
that rural residents may obtain some
of the benefits of the organization
with a limited equipment. The two
gentlemen are continuing their visits
through the eountv today and it is
hoped that they may arrai.ge for ft
representative from each center to at
tend a meeting of the Y. M. C. A.
workers to be held in this city next
week, when plans for federated action
may be made.
