Besides his widow, he Is survived by a son, Ernest Kliuger, and a daughter, Bertha Kliugcr, all of Salem. The body is nt tho lfigdou undertak ing parlors. The funeral services will be held from the Catholic church Fri day morning af 10 o'clock. Itun... .! be in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Kliugcr was one of Siilcin's pio neers, having been interested in the business life of tho city for the past 40 years. lie was born in Alsace-Lorrniuo and caine to Salem in 1H76. Shortly after his arrival here he engaged in tho brewery business. Ho was tho owner of considerable proporty in Sulem. This included his homo at Church and Clicuu ketn streets, business property on Commercial street now occupied by the Velio jjarngo and part owner of tho building occupied by tho Salem Woolea Mills company. He also owned the Klinger block on State street. Mr. Klinger was a member of Salem Lodge No. 336, B. P. O. E. SMITH At his home in Ook Lodge, this ctiy, April 2.1, 1919, tho Rev. Justus H. Smith, at the aite of 61 years. He was a retired Methodist minister. He is survived by his widow and four children Mrs. C. C. Long of Weiiatchec nnd Reuel, Hiram and Mary Smith, all of Salem. Four sisters survive, who live at Haverhill, Mass. The funeral services were held tliis afternoon nt the First Methodist church and were conducted by the Rev. R. N. Avisos.
