Every Muscle In Body Ached
With RheumatismLike
New Man After Taking
Taulatv
"I have lived in Portland for thir
ty years and there are just losts of
people here who know that Tanlc has
made a new man of mo," said J. H.
Palmer, the well known transfer and
baggage man, residing at 260 Knott
St., Portland, Ore., recent!',
"I have boon a sufferer from rheu
matism twenty five years' continued
Mr, Palmer, "and ronched the point
where I never expected to get well, or
even any better, I spent thousands of
dollars trying fe get relief, but grad
ually got worse. Every muscle in my
body seemed to be drawn, up, every
joint stiff, and T could not move with
out suffering agony. When 1 walked
instead of lifting my feet, I would
just hnvo to drag them along and if my
life had depended on it I could not
have raised my hands high enough to
touch the back of my head. I was laid
up for more than two years at one time
After sitting down for a while I could;
n t get up without holding cuto some-;
thing and after I did get on my feet '
it would take mo several minutes to
straighten myself up. During tho past
year or fwo my condition became, very
much worse. My whole system seemed
to Ibe rundown. My kidneys bothered
me nearly all the time, my back hurt I
me, and at times I would almost scream j
from pain.
"1 also suitcrett trom :mngenon.
My stomach would bloat up after eat
ing and my food would sour and add
more to my misery. 1 would lay awake
more than" half the night rubbing my
arms and le?s trying to get easy so I
could get a little rest. I would get aw
fully blue and despondent over my con
dition, and yet, could see no way out
of my suffering.
"The testimonials of people right
here in Portland, some of wh(.m I
know personally, paused me to try Tan
las. Well, I am now seventy years old
and 1 just want to say that I have
never seen anything like it. Before I
finished my first bottie i was eating
twice as much as before and felt no
bad effects from it, I am nrw on my
fourth bottle, and the rheumatism has
just about all left me. Why, my legs
are just as limber as if I had never
had a touch of rheumatism. 1 don't suf
fer any more from constipation and
headaciic and have gained back all my
energy and strength and several pounds
in weight, besides. Numbers of my
friends, who know what Tanlau has
done for me, are now taking it with
fine results. Yes sir, Tanhe has done
everything for m? I eoulii wish, far
more than I cxnected it eould do, and
I would bo willing to go before a no
tary and make an affidav1 as to the
truth of this statement."

Cling To Murder Theory
San Franetsco, Dec. 9. Despite the
coroner's opinion that Patrick J. Kin
delon, chief special agent of the South
ern Pacific, shot and killed himself,
his associates clung firmly today to
the murder theory and set about to
prove it.
They produced a woman whose name
was concealed, who declared she heard
two shots from the park where Kindet
om's body was found in the early morn
ing. . .
Only one shell in Kindelou's revolv
er had been discharged.
The detectives were, soarching today
for the bullet that killed. Kindelon, be
lieving that it would prove of differ
ent calibre than runoeion's gun.
The murdered, they eaid, either was
fired on by Kindelon, or discharged
Kindelon 's gun to give tho suicide the
