New Gty Administration Launches Fight Against Ru Every effort will bo made by the in coming city administration to stE-mp out influenza in the eity. At a meeting held yesterday after noon by Mayor C. Vandevort, it wss decided that the police should be empowuiM prevent loitering in any depot, stand ing around restauranls-or pool halls and congregating of people in any store whatever. The spitting ordinance will also be enforced. At restsurants, in the serv ing of drinks, straws must be used. Peo ple are nrged to bank early and to shop early and to do everything possible to avoid the least semblance of crowding. Ag to the meeting of the legislature next Monday, no action was taken. However, the authority of the city could prevent crowding in hallways of the state house, it was thought. BLOCKADE MAY BE LU TED.
