New York ((I THE REG oN MAMMU Mr. Business Man Annual Sangerfest of Norwegian Singers The Pacific Coast Norwegian singers, association will hold its annual "Snn gerfest" at Portland, Ore., August 31at and Soptember 1st and 2nd. The two .great concerts will be given in the City Auditorium, Saturday even ing, August 31st and Sunday evening September 1st. This will be one of tho great musical events of tho season in Portland. The Norwegian singerg of the Pacific Coast have had many success fill "Sangerfets." It is confidntly ex pected that this one will surpass them all. Two hundred or more trained voices in the men's chorus will sing our best songs. Mrs. Kanscn-Olsen, formerly of Fargo, North Dakota, and Silverton. Orvoron. now of Portland, and Mr. Halvorsen of ( Seattle, both renowned singers, will be the soloists. Phone 81 State Training School Filled To Capacity With 1-19 boys now nt tho state train ig school for boys, that institution ii filled to capacity and no moro boys will bo received until room is provided by the dismissal of some' of tho boys who are at the school. Superintendent Gilbert was outhoriz ed by tho state board of control to no tify all county courts to this effect. And the boys who arc at tho school hereafter are to have "nighties", in stead 'f sleeping in their underwear. Superintendent Gilbert will mako the change as a means of preventing the boys from running away at night. Ho will have them disrobe in the basement and march to the dormitory, then thcii clothes will be locked iip in tho base merit. Screens will also bo put on the windows. Frank Martin, a lo-year-old lad com mitted to the school from Coos countj last month, is tho latest boy to escnpi during the night.
