The state grange will be held in Sa lem during the first week of June, meeting probably in the house ot rep resentatives. The committee on enter tainment reported that about 160 dele gates would attend and about 300 vis itors and arrangements were, being made for their entertainment. Hig ginbotham, of Wooidburn. The com plaint recites that they were married Dee. 1L 1912. and that tho defendant deserted; his home March 24, 1914. Al so- that the defendant ia malung trom $90 to. $100 a month- The custody ot the two sons, ages three and live years is asked by Mrs. nigginbotham and alimony of $40 a month. The appraisers have placed a value of $4900 on the estate of weorge n. Gilbert, deceased. Among the property is a 23 acre tract, valued at t'6H57M. Rev. F. T. Porter May Be Sect to France Chartes A. Johnsort filed a suit against & E. Wallace on a 4UU note dated Dec. 14, 1914, and asking for a foreclosure cf property. L. H. Turner filed a complaint in the circuit court against L. B. Han son aud Marshall Waring on a $105 note, asking for judgment and a de cree of foreclosure. Should the army Y. M. C. A. board at Portland insist, it is probable that tho Rev. F. T, Porter, pastor of the First Christian church of this city will leave within a few weolts for Y. M. C. A. work in France. Mr. Porter was called to Portland this week to confer with H. W. Stone in regard to the work over there, and also the great need of men experienced in genoral religious and social work. Mr. Porter expressed his willingness to go, provided lie was sent direct to France where the services of experienced church workers are mostly needed. In tho Y. M. C. A. work contemplat ed by Mr. Porter, the enlistment is for the war and the work takes the workers into the Y. M. C. A., buildings close to the actual fighting front. At the morning session cf chapel today, the Willamette club, co-operating with the May day committee de cided to construct a coni-rele walk be tween the two buildings, a distance of 115 yards. Willamette club, the new boosting dub of the university has decided to start the hall rolling by guing out af ter 200 new students for next year.
