Heney today corrected a statement ho made yesterday that ho would not "under any circumstances" bo a candidate for gov ernor of California in the coming elec tion. Tho first wooden, Ferris designed ship, ordered by the emergency ooard to be launched in the United States, will take the wator at tho Seaborn yards tomorrow afternoon. Hundreds of vessels of this type are to be built. The hull, which was laid down in September last, is 281 feet in length. The ship has been ready for launching for several days but word has been awaited from Washington before set ting a time. Other launchings will follow at this and other local yards in quick succes sion, it is said. The first stoel ship to be completed here will probably be launched in April. Priority For Food Products Is Ordered Washington, Feb. 8. Priority over the national railroads for grain and grain products in twelve mid-weBtern states was ordered this afternoon by Director General McAdoo. At th samo time, preference in furnishing necessary box cars was ordered. The states affected are Illinois, In diana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri antl Oklahoma.
