H3) pi3 Fn SHOOT IS YEAR TO HELP THE RED CROSS Entire Proceeds of Thanks giving Shoot To Go To Willamette Chapter The annual Thanksgiving shoot this year will also be a Red Cross shoot s the entire proceeds will be given to Willamette chapter of Salem. It will be held under the auspices of the Capital City Rod and Gun club next Sunday and great preparations are oeing made to make this Bhoot the greatest in the history of the club. The events will include shot gun, rifle and revolver shooting and the winners may have the privilege- of tak ing home a real live turkey or as or der for a dressed bird or evert mer chandise from Portland or Salem. Two automatic traps will be run ning, one for the awkward squad and one for the experts. There will also- b a number of special events, xne woo burn and Salem trophy teams- of five men each will shoot at 1 o'clock in the afiternoon. The beginners' trophies are a ster ling silver watch fob for tho men and' a silver spoon for the ladies. Any one who haa not shot more than 500 blue rocks is eligible to shoot with the be ginners. - Mark Siddall, the secretary, is juat home from Portland and has promises of several Portland shooters. Miss Gladys Ried, one of the youngest ex port women shooters will be on hand with her new Parker gun. Mrs. Ada Schilling, who is the smallest woman shooter in the whole U. S-, and who has shot more than. 100 scores, has promised to attend. The shoot will be held at the grounds of the Capital City Rod and Gurt club at tho end of the Seventeenth street car line, about half a mile south of the state fair grounds. Shooting will begin at 9 o'clock Sunday morning; Hot cof fee and sandwiches will be served on the grounds. Spectators as well as shooters are invited to attend.
