ior Artisan band, which will give a eon
cert at the children's playgrounds Sat

by John Coomer, who is well known

Christian church choir, is training his
body of young people for a sacred and
patriotic concert to be given at May
ton in the near future. This week's
choir practice will be held Friday even
ing at 8 o'clock.
The Spaulding employes listened to a
Red Cross lecture this morning, the
work being discontinued at 11:30 for
that purpose. Mr. Herbsman, who recent
ly spoke from the court house steps on
behalf of tho work, was tue speaKer.
The employes are taking an active part
in the Red Cross work.

The first band concert of the sea
son will be next Friday night in Will
son park, weather permitting, so it has
been announced by John tSraber, man
ager. The band has been having regu
lar rehearsals under the leadership of
Director H. N. Stoudenmeyer for sev
eral weeks and some fine music is prom
ised for the season.
