Pam," June 21. Germany is getting1
worried now about America's eatraac
iirtot the war. Therefore she is redoub
ling her efforts toward separate posses
with any of the allies, according t
the- belief of Former Foreign Minister
Cambon, in viewing developments in
Athens, Stockholm and Petrograd.
"Germany is fearful of America's
strength," he declared today. "She. is
multiplying her efforts to scatter the
germ of separation among the allies.
"Th incident in Petrograd of the
Swiss socialist Bobert Grimm a. German-born
citizen shows clearly Ger
many's hand. The truth is, Berlin is
worried and all France knows that
her worries are justified.
"Publication of the program of the
socialist majority 's peace aims at Stock
holm reveals the greatest question of
the war to Germany is Alsace-Lorraine.
"The American public must knew
that the solution of this problem, will
give to posterity the knowledge of
who has triumphed in the war."
Cambon outlined at length the rea
sons why Alsace-Lorraine must be re
turned to- France, because- it is com
pletely French.

Santa Cruz, Cat, June 21. An urg

firo threatening tha California red

secretary of tho park commission in
charge of fighting the flames. Park
Warden Dool declared early today that
tno pars: is in serious danger of
destruction unless fresh fire, fiehtets
are furnished immediately.
Last reports today from the scons
of the blazo showed that the flames
had entered the redwood park be
tween the east and west forks of Wad
dell creek and that, if the wind should
change to the south the entire forest
would be in very grave danger. Some
splendid timber is already in flames.
The fire fighters who have been at
work without rest for 48 hours back
fired in the park all night and early
today. Many of these fighters have
collapsed under the tstraiu of their
efforts. To relieve them, Professor
Wing hurried to Boulder creek where
he made an attempt to engage a large
number of men.
Unless the fire is checked soon, the
wind will carry it to Ben Lomond
mountain and to the rich Bonny Doon
fruit section and will also threaten- the
cement town of Davtcnport.

that one place- the flames leaped near

In some sections the flames aro. re
