Maru and the French freighter Dasse Torre, are scheduled to sail. The Algonquin has not yet obtain ed a crew and her sailing may be delay ed. She has elenred for London. The American freighter City of Pti ebla today is well on her way across the Atlantic, laden with contraband. She is bound 'for Genoa. Sixteen ships depart ed for the war zone over Sunday anil 18 arrived. Among the latter was the Moroni, the first American freight ship to come safely through the zone. She came from (lonon. Aboard the French liner Chicago, ex pected to sail today or tomorrow for Bordeaux, will bo Lieutenant H. K. The Heligolav of the Scandinavian-American line already is redy to leave port. Norwegian Steamer Sunk. New York, Feb. 19. The Norwegian ship Deliuotn and the Spanish steamer Mar Adriatic have been sunk, the Kerr Steamship company announced today. The Mar Adrintico was a sieel screw steamer of 2,410 tons, registered at Hil boa, Spain. The Kerr Steamship line officials stated they believed no Americans wore members of the crews of the ships. Spanish and Norwegian consuls, like wise, had no records of any Americans aboard the vessels. British. Steamer Sunk. London. Feb. I!)- The British steamer Okement has been Sunk, The Okement wa a 4,.'!4I ton vessel, registered at Sunderland, and the prop erty of J. Westoll- The Iolo Goes Down. Fiederick VIII SUU at Halifax. Halifax, N. S. V., Feb. 19. Still shrouded In official secrecy, the liner Frederick VIII, carrying Count Von Bernstorff and his suite to Germany, to dav lies in the river here. Conditions, so far as known, are unchanged aboard the ship. Reports reaching shore today woro that Count Von Bernstorff and his suite had passed the examinations and that officials were proceeding with other passengers. There is no communication between ship and shore. Fine weather yesterday and today brought those aboard the Frederick VII 1 on deck. They curiously watched the shore, where crowds gathered all day to take a look at the ship Waleh is carrying the dismissed ambassador through the war .one. The date of the liner's departure has not been fixed. It depends wholly upon the completion of the examination. Port Closed at Night. New York, Fob. lit.
