ing assembled, unanimously adopted the
following resolutions:
"Resolved that we petition our rep
resentatives and senators in congress
to use every effort to keep this country
out of war with CJerany.
" Resolved that while wo are loyal to
this country and believe in its prin
ciples, yet we condemn the declaration
of a war against a people with whom
We have always been friendly.
"Resolved that we should be neutral
in our dealing with the central pow
ers and the allies in the great war in
which these peoples are engaged.
"Resolved that the United States
should not engage in war, unless it
would be to save our honor or exist

our struggle in the days of the revolu
tion, in 1812, and during the civil war,

Held Delightful Gathering
Nobles of the Mvstie Shrine held a
delightful gathering and entertainment
in the Masonic Temple laHt night to
which were invited visiting nobles in
attendance at the session of the legis
lature. The program started off with
an exhibition of athletic skill and
prowess by the junior boys of the Y. M.
C. A. under the direction of Oscar B.
Gingrich, physical diretor. The older
boys entertained with an excellent
rendering ot ' The Sailor' Hornpipe,"
and pyramid building and tumbling.
iltisical numbers were rendered by
Mrs. V. ( arltoii Smith, who sang with
excellent voice; and Alfred Schramm,
whose fine tenor was very pleasing.
Two readings were given by I'erry
Prescott Keigehnaii, which were well
received nnd enjoyed.
The latter part of the program con
sisted of esthetic dancing by the girls
of the V. M. O. A. classes. Hetresh
ments were served and talks made by
the visiting members of the order.
