The former niny take up some time, but at present it looks as though it would be passed without a great deal of wrangling. The epDiopriation bills will not ready for action for some time and when thev come up there may be con siderable debate as there is a lack of funds available for one half the de mands, and the fight will be for ench 1o get his and in doing so he will have' to keep the other fellows out. However when the committee gets through there will be little use in kicking and the passage of the bill may not take Ihng. The consolidation bills will also take some time as there are several of them. There is also a wide divergence of op inion as to their merits. Some of the senators have openly called most of the consolidation talk ''bunk," and they are not far wrong if what each says of the other' fellow's proposition is correct. However it enn safely be said that the legislature has its work well in hand and that barring unforeseen dis putes it will lie able to clean Up the calendars in good shape when the time to adjourn rolls around.
