SPOIL YOUR HAIR
-!
When you wash your hair, be careful
what you use. Most soaps and prepared
shampoos contain too much alkali,
which is very injurious, as it dries the
scalp am! makes the hair brittle.
The best thing to use is just plain
inulsifii'd cocoianut oil. for this is pure
nnd entirely greaselcss. It's very cheap,
and beats the mosl expensive soaps or
anything else all to pieces. You can
get this at any drug stort;, nnd a few
ounces W'ii last the whole family for
months.
Simply moisten Ihe hair with water
and rub it in, about a teaspoonfu is all
that is required. It makes an abundance
of rich, creamy lather, cleanses thor
oughly, and rinses out easily. The hair
dries quickly and evenly, and is soft,
fresh looking, bright, fluffy, wavy and
easy to Handle, besides, it loosens and
takes out every purticl,e of dust, dirt
and dandruff.

When one cannot attend an opera and
see and hear Caruso, the next best thing
is to hear him and other famous opera
stars, via the Vietralo route. Tonight
at the public library, to which of
course, there is no admission charge, the
Italian opera "Pagliacci" will be giv
en on a Vietralo furnished bv the
George C. Will music house. Mr. Will
has also loaned the records from the
opera. As the records arc played, Mrs.
Anna Rodgers Pish will tell the story of
the opera and explain the special sig
nificance of each number.
Ministers Indignant
at Prayer Interruption
Ministers of Salem arc highly in
dignant over the fact that the sergcant-at-arms
of the senate took upon him
self to warn Dr. Talbot, head of the
Kimball college of Theology, during
the offering of prayer Thursday morn
ing in the senate chamber, by pulling
nt his coat-tail, that he was prayig
too long.
Dr. Talbot, according to the minis
tors, is not in the habit of making long
prayers, but yesterday morning the
scigeant-at-anna, probably believing
thatthe minister had prayed long
enough, pulled his coat-tails to warn
him that his time Ayas up. It was sug
gested also that perhaps Dr. Talbot,
feeling the dire need of divine super
vision over the affairs of the senate,
may have prayed longer than he usual
ly does.
Xevortheless, because the ministers
were there on tho invitation of the
senate and as they had been given no
instructions as to how loan; thev
should or should not pray, they feel the
action of the sergennt-at '-arms' to be an
affront to their calling.
