E, Louvell, master of a Dupont l'owdcr company steamer which delivers dynn Stiff on I'uget Sound, testified that lie .delivered fifty pounds of high grade 'dynamite to Walter Weaver. The pros j edition expects to show that Weaver and Smith are identical, j H. (J. Bostick, traveling salesman for : the Dnl'ont l'owdcr company, also told of the sale to Weaver of dynamite which was subsequently . delivered to him at Everett, Wash. Kfforts of Smith to obtain a posi tion with the DuPont company ostensi bly to get in direct touch with the man nfacture of powder for the European allies, were described by B. M. Har rington, superintendent of the DuPont company 's plant. He said Smith wrote to him applying for a position but when Harrington met him a week later said he did not desire the place, as he was western manager for a cigar company. When court convened today the pros ecution tried to call Smith's wife to I the stand. Defense Attorney Roche ob jected, however, on the ground that 8iie is disqnalif ied because she is the i wife of one of the defendants. Judge Hunt will rule on this point this afternoon.
