four inches long on election day, accord
ing to Francis Hugo, secretary of state
of New York. It will be the lonirest
ever issued in a combined national nnd

election supplies will leave for .the bor
der about October 20. Secretary Hugo
will send a representative from tho el

compjete arrangements for polling the

will make election day "a busy one for
the soldiers. Neither the nnnies of par
ties nor candidates will appear on the
lengthy ballot. The name of every can

in tho blank space beneath the title
of the office that is to be filled. A
pamphlet nf several pages is to be dis

ection day, and this will give the names
oT all candidates of various parties for
nil offices, ranging from presidential el
ectors down to town and ward. Knch
company headquarters is to be a pol
ling place for the men of that company.
A complement of soldiers named by the
company itself, will serve aB inspectors.
Voting will be carried on in the camps
at McAUeu Mission nnd Phnrr. Polls
will remain open during hours to be
named by the commanding officer at
each post, but for a period of not less
