Tho absolute informality combined with the earnest efforts of certain ma trons on -whom the guild always de penda to advance these artistic and at- tractive parties, made the aftair a huge, success. The ball room was a bower of bril-' bant .autumnal foliage, with festoons" or evergreens forming a canopy over the dancera. Gaily lighted pumpkins suggestive of Hallowe'en, suffused the room in a soft yellow light.
