committee, announces that the Elk or
chestra of 14 pieces lias been working
overtime on a march to be played as the

and white, have prepared a grand ban-
quet tor at least 400 and this spread
will lie in keeping with an event that
brings nil the members of the lodge

senting a number of Parent-Teachers

vice-president: Mrs. C. V. Johnson, of

Tho rnretit-Teachers' association of
Monmouth, held their' last meeting for
the year, in the high school assembly
room last Tuesday evening with a ma
jority of the members present. After
the meeting was called to order by the
president. Mrs. Thos. Centle, the min
utes of the previous meeting were read
by the secretary, Miss Arbuthuot. Miss
Hohiun. the musical instructor of the
Oregon NorniaJ directed the flinging of
old familiar tunes. Dr. Price presented
to the association n paper on the physi
cian in the home which was very in-
foresting. .cxt, the editor of the Mou-
mouth paper gave his opinion upon the
necessity or the newspaper in every
home, jliss Mcintosh, in her discussion,

with the training school children. ' Mr.
E. L. Keezel, principal of Monmouth
higk school for the past three years,
gave his farewell talk. He expressed
his p'eastire in serving the people of
Monmouth during his stay here; also
