Roland Geary leads the senior class
for the year I9HI-17 in the capacity
of presiilent. Tain was the decision of
the votes in the annual election yes
terday afternoon. " llawkshaw " won
out over "Scoop" Rathbuu 3S votes
to 21.
The other officers chosen were: Mil
dred llronn, vice president; Olive Ris
ley, secretary; Ben Fleschinan, treasur
er and Harry Lynch, sergennt-at-arms.
Kenneth Moores, of Salem, by a
count of 7!' to lit I votes, won over
Kenneth I'artlelt, of Kstaeadn, for the
position of president of the junior
class of next year. The annual election
were held in Guild hill yesterday and
but 115 sophomores out of u class of
250 exercised their right to vole the
ballot.
Lillian Littler was elected vice-president
of the class. She received 4"
votes, being seconded by Dorothy Dun
bar with 35, and James Uriscol with .'ill.
Marion Springer won over Mnrtha Tin
ker lor t lie secretaryship in one ot the
most exciting nnishes ever recorded in
class records. The count was 58 to 57
and the winner was in doubt until the
last, ballot had been opened, llirold
Tregilgas. unopposed for -the office of
treasurer, received 113 votes to his

boss for the Silver Falls Timber Co.,

leave for Argentine, South America,
where he has accepted a position with
an Knglish syndicate to do sonic rail

at Mr. Johnsons. A dandv good time
is the way they all tell it, and boun
teous lunch was passed among the
crowd before leaving for home at a
very late hour.
