cent. This' effects 270 men in Port
hind, whose average salary has been

in Salem come in under this 10 per

agent, John M. Walker assistant, and
Kalph Mason.
The Mercantile department of the
Commercial club will hold its monthly
meeting Tuesday evening at the Com
mercial club. The Stevens bill will
come up for discussion. This is the
bill to come before congress, provid
ing that manufacturer may establish
a price on standard goods and tint the
retailer shall be obliged to retail at
the established price.

Salem Wednesday evening, in the in
terests of the Oregon Socinl Hygiene
