dismissed today for making statements
derogatory to President Wilson and the
United States. He was formerly eity
attorney of Milwaukee. Bruncken had
been under investigation for ten days.
"Wilson is a traitor," is one of his
alleged statements. Ho was also
charged with saying: "beside Wilson,
Benedict Arnold was a patron saint.

This was said, it was claimed, the
day Wilson went to address congress ou
the submarine issue. When the Lusi

members of this club have conceived
the idea of bringing home a small por
tion of the enjoyable features of col
lege life to their friends, now under
graduates of Salem High school. This
is being brought about by bringing the
famous O. A. ('. Cadet Bund to Salem
on the evening of May lth to furnish
music for a dance to bo givn on that
evening at the Armory in honor of the
Senior class of the high school. This:
class is composed of 110 members and!
it is the hope of their hosts tnat each
one will find it possible to be present
on this occasion.

many years standing and the vigorous
military training and daily rehearsals
have produced a military band equal, to

(.'apt. H. L. Beard, has been in charge
of the band for nearly ten years. Prior
to his period he was connected with
some of the best military bands of the
United States' army.
A concert will preceed the dance, be
ginning at 8 o'clock nnd no doubt the
thirty piece organization will make our
big Armory vibrate with a class of
music that will be a real trcnt to the
people o' Salem.
