School Kids Paradise
The final rehearsal of the Junior
play "Shcrwoo'd" last night proved
beyond a doubt that it is the biggest
tiling in the theatrical line ever at
tempted bv .imateurs in Salem. From
the time when the curtain went up iu
the first act to its descent ou thoj
last, the acting was in almost every
instance the e.pial of professionals. I

fied with the rehearsal, which is the

There is no doubt but that when

Everything is quiet in the market to
day. Oats are now easy sale at 40
cents and wheat is holding at 85 cents.
Eggs tiro firm at the 20 cent price but
just at present there seems but little
prospects of an advance. The local
market, like all other markets in this
part of the state is effected by condi
tions in Portland.
The quotations on sugar are ad
vanced today, as the prices given are
in proportion to the latest wholesale
quotations. Formerly, prices on sugar
were uniform, but in the present uncer
tain condition of the wholesale niarnet,
the retailers practically make their own
retail prices, regardless of the latest
from tie refineries.

dersigned, Edna Riches, will, as guard
ian, of the above named minors, in

Oregon, heretofore made and entered
