An order was issued by , the Public
Service commission today which will
provide the enterprising city of Shaw
in this county with a Jrand new depot
and a depot agent. The order states
that Shaw is situated in the Waldo
Hills in a particularly fertile section
of the Willamette valley aud that li'Mi
to 800 people reside In the territory
tributary to this station. The Southern
Pacific has a small open shelter shed
for a depot at this place and no load
ing platforms or platforms for the hand
ling of freight or the convenience of
passengers.
The commission ordered a new depot
to be erected within ill) days from this
date to contain a waiting room for pas
sengers with at least 200 square feet of
floor space. The depot must also have a
freight house which shall contain nt
least 400 square feet of floov 'space au-1
loading platform, toilet facilities and
other necessities for the comfort and
convenience of the passengers.
At present the ticket office is main
tained in a nearby store and the order
of the commission provides that o regu
lar station agent shall be on du'y ot the
depot for transacting the company
business of selling tickets and eucIi
duties.
A station was also ordered at Bar
View on the Southern Pacific, in Tilla
mook county and a grade crossing was
authorized in Linn county.

Judge Galloway today granted a de
cree of divorce to Gabi'iella Gearhart,
who was plaintiff in a suit against K.
li. uearnnrt, Inev were married in
this city December 13, 1013, and after
a short period of matrimonial bliss the
plaintiff testified that her husband
developed cruel and inhuman tendencies
and on one occasion drew a revolver in
the house and shot a hole in the floor
besidess cursing her and striking her in
the face. She was allowed to resume
her maiden name of Gabriella Johns.
There arc no property rights or children
involved. H. F. McTnturff represented
the plaintiff. The defendant allowed
the case to go by default.
