Several of the tablet factories in the east have been compelled to close down. Others are notifying their trade that an advance of at least one third may be expected in the wholesale prices. the story in lead pencils is about the same, yet it is not so noticeable, as five cent pencils are still in the market. Roy Lewis told police today that, his brothers, Frank and Ora, killed Patrolmen John McKennii and William Dillon last Vri dny. Towed by the tug Relief, the wrecked Magnolia was biought into Humboldt bav. It is being pumped out. The bo.lv of Engineer E.I linker was found in the engine room. It is hoped that the remains of Captain Ed Johnson may be found there also.
