Milwaukee, Wis., April 4. Wisconsin , politicians will find out today which! way the political w"md in blowing, ln i the primiry election at which delegates to the republican and, demoeratie na-l tional convention will lie chosen. Chief interest is in the fight between i j the progressives and conservative re-. I publican force!! the progressives, led: !bv Senator Robert M. LaFolIette, and the conservative by Gov. E. L. Pihlipp. Both factions have complete tickets for delegates in the field. If the pro gressives win, they will go to the ua jtionnl convention instructed to vote for jLiFollette for president. If the eonser ivativo delegates are chosen, they will be instructed. The fight, has been extremely bitter because this is the first trial of j strength bet ween the senior senator and the governor since the election of two yenrs ago when Governor Philipp wa victorious over the progressive candi date, the progressive ranks being split bv having several candid ites in the field. LaFolIette spent considerable time touring the state making speeches, even after congress was in session. Besides tho primary, most cities of the state are having municipal elections today. In Milwaukee the fight is ngiin be tween the socialists and the non-parti-sans. A combination of the democratic and republican non-partisans have been successful in. two elections, Daniel M.
