X: Xiao-tenths of all cases of stomach trouble now.idays are caused by toe much acid. In the beginning tliestom nch itself is not diseased but if this acid condition is allowed to continue the acid is very likely to eat into the stomach walls and produce stomach ul cers which may render a radical surgi cal operation necessary even to pro long life. Therefore, nn "acid stom ach" is really a dangerous condition and should be treated seriously. The excess acid or stomach hyperacidity must be neutralized by bisurnted nias nesia Liken in teaspoonful doses in a fourth of a glass of water after each meal. Laryer quantities may be used if necessary as it is absolutely harmless, lie sure to ask your druggist for the bisurated iu.ignosia as no other form of magnesia is as effective as the bisur ated. Bachelors Organize Club Against Girls The high cost, of living has driven the young men and old bachelors of Athol. Kan., to the extremity of or gnnizing a club ngainst -scheming, mercenary feminity. The by-laws strictly forbid any member from keeping company with a young lady or treating any of them to iionhons, pop, ginger ale, near-beer, ice cream, or being seen in company with any of thorn on joy rides or n't dances. Such drastic action was deemed necessary by the eligibh-s when they discovered their savings bank ac count was overdrawn almost the year around, nnd the demands of their "steadies" constantly growing for more expensive and nefter entertain ment. For the violation ui the by laws, a member will be fined if 10, and a second offense will mean prompt expulsion. The young ladies have already shown strong resentment, and threat en to give a series of lavish enter taiumfeuts nt which only the young men from adjoining towns will be their guests, and due care will be tn' en to impress them with the econom ical nnd thrifty virtues of the Atli girls. JDistrict Attorney Scores Defendant Minister Oroville, Cab, Mar. 2. Picturing Gertrude Lamson as a "plastic bit of clay in the hands of a human monster," District Attorney Leonard today de manded that the jury convict Rev. Madison Slaughter of attacking her. Jurors wept as Deputy Attorney (leu oral Jones declared he was "prosecut ing for the preservation of the moral ity of little children." Jones asserted that Mrs. T.ainsoii, mother of Gertrude, Hud testified with "dramatic maliciousness." He clnimed Slaughter was her goit, and that in going against her daughter she obeyed the law of "my country right or wrong." The letters Gertrude wrote admitting all her charges against Slaughter were false were extracted from her "by a cruelly staged plot" according to Jones. He scored defense ntinrneys for violat ing the confidence of Gertrude in this mutter. "Is a little girl vicious who brings all her money home to mother, wears rajrs of clothes and tends little babies for other mothers?" demanded Jones. "Gertrude was just . a lonely, normal child, looking for help she wa-s the handiwork of God, whom Slaughter set out to destroy." Jurors fumbled for hnndkerchiefs as he drew this pathetic, picture. "The hand of God is in this case you will look for it," continued Jones. "God seeks to save other children from a similar fate at the hands of human monsters." Jones will argue all day. The cave may close by tomorrow night. WAITING FOR LAND Portland, Ore., Mar. 2S.
