H. H. Riddell Gets Six
Months Jail Sentence
Portland, M ir. 21. Pour months in
the county jail and a fine of .25i'0 was
the sentence imposed by Pederal Judge
Bean yesterday on II. II. Kiddell, Port
t;i ii. I attorney and 'former secretary of
the Oregon Inland Development com
pany. Mr. Kiddell was convicted of
having used the ni.liU to defraud in
connection with the sale of alleged or
chard lauds.

Causes Damage Suit
Seattle, Wash., Mar. 21 Frozen near

interests of L'rik O. Liadblom, Seattle

his former employer in the United

The suit is to recover damages for
an alleged breach of contract. Chisel
alleged Liudblum sent him from Nome
to a point on the Kobuk river, 100 miles
north of the Arctic circle in l!10:t fc

to pay him $23') monthly and expenses
if the mine paid, besides a handsome
bun us. I f it did not pay he was to re
turn to Nome where he had been em
ployed for years as Lindblom 's repre

which paid $250 monthly.

Sail Francisco, March 21. One of
the few instnnces of record in which a
husband and wife have simultaneously
secured final divorce decrees was
recorded here today. Mr. and Mrs.
George L. Kronmiller rushed to court,
each demanding the final decree. The
interlocutory decree was granted a
year ago. Judge Van Nostrand gave
Mrs. Kronmiller her decree, wnile
Judge Murray gave the husband his.
Both decree are legal.
