Last summer wheat sold for (Ml cents in Salem and then gradually started on a downward trend, going as low as fi8 cents. Later it started on an upward climb until the !KJ cent price was reached a few days ago, nndone lot was reported yesterday as sold tor Vo cents a bushel. A few weeks ago the association price for onions was .fl.2o. N'ow the Salem price is $2.75. A month ago po tatoes were selling for 75 cents u hund red. A farmer was in the city yester day and was offered $1.75 a hundred and refused to sell, as he thought he should be offered the price of i(i2.
