Although wheat In the Chicago mar
ket has advanced 10 cents within tie
last week, there has been but little if I
any change in the Portland and local I
markets. With the Panama canal
closed and no ships the shipping1
proposition is such that the Portland
market has not advanced in proportion:
to the eastern quotations.
Tomorrow, sugar retait will be nd-1

Notico is hereby given that the un
dersigned, Seid Back, tho owner of all
the real property hereinafter described,
has filed a petition with the County
Clerk of Marion County, State of Ore
gon, to the County Court of the State
of Oregon for said county to vacato all
of tho sub-division or addition and all
the lots, blocks and tracts thereof, the
same being lots or tracts numbered
from one to twelve inclusive in that
certain sub-division or addition known
as Frank 'b Fruit Tracts in Marion
County, State of Oregon, the plat and
dedication of which is now of record at

MRS. ELAR KILLED
Mrs. Cordie Klar, aged 35 years,
wife of Ernest Klar, Macksburg, was
struck Tuesday forenoon by the Can-by-Molnlla
train, nnd instantly killed.
Mrs. Klar was douf nnd dumb and could
not hear the approaching train.
Mrs. Klar is survived by her hus
band two daughters, Hazel, aged 14,
and Rosa, nged 15 years. Her parents,
