the first market day to be- held next

day, with the exception of course of
cuttle, which legally cannot be put up
at auction. But cattle may be sold at
private sale, so they can be disposed
of, as well us farm implements and any
thing the farmer possesses.
The sale will begin at 9:30 o'clock
iu the Waring barn on Liberty street.

Oregon state training-school.

wishes to impress his hearers that he
is not running a reform school, nor is
tho training scliool the home of a lot
of bad boys. Possibly ten per cent
of the boys are really bad. In order to
