Mr. Olds who made this statement
was formerly an officer of the North
Pacific fair association and is now ono
of the leading spirits of the national
apple show, to be held iu Wenatchee
this fall .and he is here to get some
pointers upon some innovations in the
way of special exhibits and conces
sions for their show.
Mr. Olds said that he had never
seen a larger and more representative
agricultural, livestock und horticultural
exhibit as that on display at the Ore
gon fair and lie was also highly com
plimentary of the exhibits in the dairy
! division and other classes of industry
! of the state, lie was captivated with
; the spirit of rivalry anil interest (lis
, played ia the agricultural and industrial
l competition lieween the counties of the
state; the boys and ' gills industrial
club exhibits und the fine appearance
of the grounds, especially the landscape
gardening inaugurated for the first
time tiiis year by Superintendent A. I,,
l'cck and the fair board.
