Robert V. Harris, a highly respected
resilient of Cloverdalo for the past
three years, passed away nt his homo
iu North street on Friday evening of
last week. Heath was Hue to uppeudi-
eities, from which he was a suffered for
many mouths, although not until about
a iii.inth before his death did his ill
ness appear to be serious.
Mr. Harris was a widower, his wifo
having passed nwuy nt their home ut
McMinnville, Oregmi, about, 10 years
ago. He lived uloiio ami until tho ar
rival of his daughters, about two weeks
ago, wns eared for by neighbors. When
his condition became alarming ( lover
dale friends wired his .laughters iu
Oregon and they came immediately and
gave him tho best possible cure. An
operation was performed in the hope (if
saving his life, but it proved too late to
giv.) him more than temporary relief.
During the last days he suffered greatly
at times, nnd for 11 week before the
end iSime he realised that he could not
recover and seemed to gladly welcome
