wile, who. before he eloped with her
from Providence R. I., in March, 1910,
was Miss May G. Boiler, a Bhop girl,
are reported to have separated. Both
have left their charming little home
in Charleston, W. Vn., mid come to
New York, Mrs. Knox for the purpose
of beginning au action for separation
and filling theatrical engagement, It
is stated, uud young Knox for the pur
pose of inducing his wife to forgive
nnd begin all over again. The path
of romance has been n very thorny
one for the young couple. It was while
ho was a student at the Morris Heights
Preparatory school that young Knox
met and fell in love with the auburn
hnired salesgirl. Aftor a whirlwind
courtship they eloped nnd traveled
vainly through three states before they
could find a clergyman to perforin the
marriage ceremony. Finally a minister
in Huilington, Vt., united' the run
aways. With his bride young Knox
hurried to his father's home in Wash
ington for the parental blessing. Hut
forgiveness was withheld, and he was
summarily told by his fatlior tlint, hav
ing married to suit his fancy, he could
get out nnd hustle for himself.
