Notice is hereby given that the Com
mon Council of the City of Hulem, Ore
gon, will at pr about 7:30 o'clock p. m.
on the 2Nth day of October, 1914, or at
the same hour at any subsequent reg
ular council meeting thereafter, at the
Common Council chambers in the City
of Halem, Oregon, proceed to assess ii
on each, lot or part thereof or parcel of
laud liable therefor, its proportionate
share of the total cost of improving tne
alley in block 4, from Cheniokota street
to Center street.
All. persons interested in said assess
ment are hereby notified to appear at
said time before the said Common Coun
cil and present their objections, if any
they have, to Baid assessment and ap
ply to said Common Council on or be
fore the suid 28th day of October, 1914,
to equalize their proportionate sliaro of
the total cost of improving said alley,
