Can't Afford to Have Kidney Trouble.
No man with a family to suppor can
afford to have kidney trouble, nor need
he fear it with such a remedy at hand
as Foley Kidney Pills. You can not
take this honest curative medicine into
your system wihout good results follow
ing. It cleans out and builds up the
kidneys, and makes them able to strain
out of the blood the impurities that
cause backache, weak back, sore, inac
tive kidneys and sleep-disturbing urin

Avoid ths Bronchial Coughs of Early
Fall.
The changeable weather of early fall
brings on bronchitis and a hard cough
that is won ring ou the system, and
seems to tear open the bronchial tubes

Foley's Honoy and Tar Compound

Roseburg, Ore., Sept. 5. If the rain

POSTMASTER IN SEATTLE
UNITED rilgSS LSiSEO WIR1.
Washington, Sept 5. Action !b ex
pected soon in the case of Edgar Bat
tle, who wns nominated for postmaster
of Seattle early in the lifo of the now
regime. He is a former classmate of
Postmaster General Burleson, and is a
brother of Richard Achillea Ballinger's
law partner. The lawyer Battle was
one of the "hand-picked" delegates
who wrested control of the Washington
state Democratic convention' from the
Wilson men Inst summer, and sent a
Clark delegation to Baltimore. The
nomination of Edgar Battle is ascribed
to Hugh Wallace.
President Wilson held up the nomin

the senate postoffico commlttoo is
about to choose a subcommittee to look
into the matter.
Adenoids Are Menace to Children.
Babios and young childron must be
carefully watched for the growth of
adenoids, which spoil the mental and
physicnl life of a child. Thoy usually
result from a succession of colds and
throat irritations and their presence is
so productive of harm, that many school
boards have an examining physician to
detect them. The conditions that cause
them may be easily avoided by careful
parents. Quickly and thoroughly cure
nil colds and throat irritations by the
use of Foley's Honey and Tar Com
