common council of the city of Salem,
Oregon, proposes to change the grade
ns now established on Front street
between the south curb line of Ship
ping street and tho north curb line of
"D" street, In Bald city.
Tho grado proposed to be estab
lished Is as follows, to-wlt:
Commencing at a point on the cen
ter lino of Front stroet on the south
curb line of Shipping street, which
point Is 15 feet north of tho south
line of Shipping streot and is at an
olevatlon of 40.7 feet above the city
of Salem base of grades and which
elevation Is tho present established
grade of tho city of Salem thence
on a descending grade of 0.5 per
cent in a southerly direction along
the centor line of Front street a dis
tance of 910 feet, more or less, to a
point, said point being at an eleva
tion of 30.0 feet above city of Salem
base of grades thonco on a level
grado In a southerly direction along
tho center line of Front streot a dis
tance of 737 feet to a point, said
point being nt an elevation of 30.0

grades; thonce on an ascending grade
