lovely refreshments were served by

A delightful affair in dab circles
this week was tho meeting on Thurs
day afternoon of the Oriental D. M.
C. members when Mrs. A. J. Houck
entertained In her homo at 1064 Mar
ket street. Iteds and greens of Christ
mast tide were used to decorate the
rooms. The living room was especial
ly attractive with Its lighting from a
glowing fire place and the burning
tapers on a beautifully decorated
Christmas tree, hung with lovely gifts
for the guests. These presents were
the results of many dainty stitches
taken to fashion a Christmas remem
brance for a member whoso name was
drawn by tho donor, several weeks
ago. Hie distribution ot gifts was
delightful climax for the after
noon, the. dining room was pretty
with an arrangement of red and green
streamers held In place- by small
Christmas bells and mistletoe. A long
table laid with covers for twelve, cen
tered the room, the hostess serving a
full course Christmas Hnner, Including
the turkey. Enjoying this most de
lightful affair were Mrs. John Biewer,
Mrs. H. P. Chase, Miss Mabel Don
aldson, Mrs. Nora Kriesel, Mrs. Frank

also delegates, entertained with short
talks pertaining to tho work of the
convention.
