For some tlmo ho was In tho employ of Eugene Broymnn, who was engaged In tho mercantile business. Then he went to Melmina and entered the mercantile business for himself, nnd continued it until a fow years ago, when he retired. When he died lio was residing with his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Irvine, nnd, besides this daughter, loaves a son, Ralph, who lives at llosoburg.
