Then he went to Melmina and entered the mercantile business for himself, nnd continued it until a fow years ago, when he retired. When he died lio was residing with his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Irvine, nnd, besides this daughter, loaves a son, Ralph, who lives at llosoburg.
