Portland Or., July 15. An official
state-wide call all over the state of
Oregon was Issued last 'night, amid a
Bctna of the wildest enthuuiasin, for a
state convention of tho National Pro
greKHlve (Roosevelt) party to be held

Kast Side library building, Kast Klev
enth and Alder streeta, Portland. The
official call waa Issued by the mem
bers uf the National Progressive club
of Oregon and was ordered unani
mously. Following the election of of
ficers, Vice-President Ievl Myers, of
fered a resolution which was adopted
unanimously. This resolution tie
ck'.red that the late Republican nat

represent the wishes of the people of
the I'nlted States, that it was conduct
c d dishonestly and In no manner to

national convention of the National
Progressive party in Chicago, August
." and that It was desirous t hut the
state of Oregon be represented there.
A mass meeting of citizens of Oregon
was therefore called for July 25 in
I'citlanil to take such action as might
be necessary and to elect five dele-
miles to represent Oregon in the na-

cluded "all citizens who are In sym

affiliations." During the convention

county. Kach member of this commit
