The hotel will be about 200 by 100 feet, built mainly ot logs, some what similar In style to the Forestry building at the Seattle exposition. Already 60 carloads of logs have been received at Glacier Park station for use In this structure some of the logs being fit such, proportions that no trore than two could bo placed upon a cur. Som3 of these logs are no less than six feet In diameter, and as a number are to be used for pillars In the main lobby, which pillars are to be 42 feet In height, some Idea of their Immensity may be gained. In addition to the large lobby, din lug room, kitchen and other public rooms, the hotel will contain about 100 guest rooms. The structure will be most artistically decorated In a manner In keeping with Its rustic style, and the whole will well accord with the rough grandeur of Us scenic sotting. ( In connection with the building of the hotel, Guthrie & Co., Great North ern contractors, already have started the construction of the magnificent automobile road which will extend tr.iongh the reservation for a distance 'of 40 miles from Glacier Park to the J edge of the park, seven miles from St. Marv'a lnke. From thta nnlnt nn try t the lake the road will be built by the government. This road will form the northern terminus of the park to park nad which Is to be built through Montana from the Yellowstone Nat 'or. al Park, and which promises to be one of the most popular driveways of the country. LIGHTENING STRUCK BARN HEAR CITY JOHN FABRY'S CHILDREN, PLAY ING IN TIIE BARN, GET SEYERE SHOCK ONE RENDERED UNCON SCIOUS AND HAS NARROW F.S CAPE, The lightning of WediiORday struck a barn on the premises of John Fabry, a few miles south of the city, and ad ministered a sovere shock to Mr. Fa bry's children, who wore playing In the bnrn at the time. The roof of the barn was shattered, the lightning fol lowing down two of the poBts, strik ing one of his daughters, a young lady, and knocking her unconscious. She was carried to the house, and af tor restoratives were applied she re gained consciousness. For awhile her skin whs almost black as a negro's from the effects of tho shock, but she has fully recovered. A few days before that the light ning Btruck a farm house In the Bame locality, coming over tho telephone wire. The phone wns destroyed and the floor of the house wns torn up and other damage dono the house. The family was away at the time. At the time of the lightning It man ifested Itself quite plainly nt the cen tral station of the telephone com pany, some of the operators, especially m the long distance, losing tholr bends, figuratively, for the time being.
