The conference was quite successful as tt seemed to be the spirit of both the contending factions to give and take, so as to bring their long drawn out controversy to an end. A communication was presented from W. R. Anderson, C. S. Hamilton and Flora Clark, who own all the property on the east side of the street from Court to Chemekcta, asking that no spur be placed there, and It was readily acquiesced In by both rail roads. The same was had with ref erence to the block further north. The property owner In the blocks south of Court street were glad to get the sidings, and no objections were en countered there. It was certainly a very novel Idea to the railroad companies to be enjoined against constructing sidings, for the usual difficulty I In getting the sid ings, when they are actually needed, and not to remonstrate against them when the railroad company Is willing to put them In. The committee and the representa tive of the road went over the grounds and the location of the spurs, cross-overs aid sidings were definite ly located, as they will appear In the drawings to be submitted at the coun cil meeting Monday next.
