THE IIESIKA
MINSTRELS
AT CHEMAVA
Last evenig the Nesika Minpt-cls of
the Chemewa Indian school, gave a
rleasing performance before a large
and appreciative audience of friends
and members of the instltiti in. In
which every actor carried his part
like a professional. The club was or
ganized by the boys of the school
some time ago for the purpose of giv
ing entertainments and they have
succeeded to such a degree that the
institutional managers are encourag
ing them to keep up the good work.
In last night s program tin work
of the comedians, Clements and
Evans, was probably the most Inter
esting feature of the show and they
"pulled down the house' several
times. The singing of Wl'.eon was
also well received and so successful
were all of the numbers that the
members of the club are greatly en
couraged. After the performance Superinten
dent Chalcraft spoke very highly of
the work of the organization nnd he
is now endeavoring to have the girls
of the school put on a play or a
musical for the entertainment of pu
pils and friends.
