Mr. Hjorth Is a Flnlander and law student at Willamette law school. A Trille Hut a Nuisance The street car men and the public ' service Is delayed by the absence of four little bolts and springs to shove back the switch rail at four cross ings on the street car lines of Salem. , The men have to get out and kick the switch rail over with their feet, and the 'cars have to wait while they I do this. A Lost Unity A little weeping child was found this morning wandering about the streets In the eastern part of the city. The little girl, who was only six years of age, seemed to be lost and could not tell the kind people who picked her up who her parents were. An Inquiry was sent In to the police station and Officer Burkhart was put on the case. He soon discovered the frantic mother of the youngster, and parent and child were soon happy in each others arms. Nought Wi otllnn n Taper F. H. Wyatt of Hillsboro, Oregon, is a guest of the Marlon. Mr. J. G. Jenkins and wife of Falls City are at the Salem Hotel Mr. Henry Sinz, wife and son Ar nold, well known farmers from the Waldo hills, are in the city attending to business at the court house. Mclnturff, who is hold ing a series of successful meetings in Portland, paid a visit at his Salem home Saturday evening. .Mr. Lee Westbrook and wife spent Sunday in Albany visiting friends and relatives.
