Mr. Lee Westbrook, who has been the day clerk, Intends to leave for San Jose, California, at that time and If his present plans do not mis carry, he will make the southern city his permanent home. Cream the butter, add the sugar; then alternately, the millc and the flour mixture; lastly the whites of eggs and the nut meats. Bake in a sheet in a shallow pan thirty or forty minutes. Chocolate Idas' One cup granulated sugar; ounce thotolate; white of 1 egg, beaten dry, H teaspoonful vanilla extract; cup water. Stir the sugar, chocolate and watet until the mixture boils; cover and let Ixjil three minutes. Uncover and let boil till when tested in cold water a soft ball may be formed; beat into thewhite of egg, then beat until cold, add vanilla. Angora men will have a big time the first week In January, 1912, to be exact, Wednesday, Thur3day and Friday, January 3, 4, 5,' will see the greatest gathing of Angora goat men ever held In the Pacific Northwest. The show and convention will be held at Dallas, Oregon, in the new armory and will be the second" annual con vention of the Northwest Angora Goat association. This association is comprised of all the leading Angora goat men of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Mon tana. During the last week secre tary Alva McDonald has been arrang ing with Commercial club of the lat ter city, and at his time all arrange ments have been committed. There will be over $1200 In cash prizes, and premiums offered, nnd It is ex pected that an attendance of over 2500 will be present. On Thursday evening an "Angora Banquet" will be servedj at which Governor West will be present. Dr. James Withycombe, C. C. Chapman, D. O. Lively and other prominent men will be present.
