Manager Babcock will send the bids to Portland for action. Secretary Named The stallion registration board which was created by the last legis lature has named Ermine L. Potter as secretary and all applications for licenses and remittances should be turned over to him. He la identified with the Oregon Agricultural college. Defeated Fall-mounts The Woolen Mills baseball team defeated the South Salem boys by a score of 8 to 7, on the Falrmoitnt grounds yesterday afternoon. It was a close and "exciting contest. Laws To Be Published Secretary of State Olcott has been advised by the state printer that he will have the pamphlets containing the fish and game laws, the mining laws, and the road laws, ready for distribution by June 23. The secre tary had the copy for all ready in April, but the printer's offlce has been so loaded down with work that It has been unable to print them. Ballot Titles Heady Attorney-General Crawford has prepared the ballot titles for the Ma larkey public utility, bill, the Mon mouth appropriation bill, the Uni versity of Oregon appropriation bill, all of which were referred to the people at the next general election by petitions filed with the Secretary of state a week or so ago.
